​Who Murdered the Maid is a film about modern day gender discrimination told in a bygone era, creating an absurd satire. In 1940s New York, Cassie Pelletier, a transgender maid was killed in a hotel lobby, leaving young detective Hardy to investigate with two singing suspects who do not take the case seriously; even Hardy’s boss is self-centred enough to burst into song. Who else cares about Cassie?
